• I was making an edit on a page in the WP-Admin section of the site, then I was kicked out, and then not only was I not able to log in, I’m not able to even visit the site when I’m at my office. It gives me an error that the page has timed out. I cleared the cache, and tried going into Incognito mode, but it has the same error.

It seems like the IP address was blocked not just for logging into WordPress, but even for visiting the website.

We don’t have any IP address blocking pluggins attached to WordPress that I’m aware of.

Any advice on how to get set back up would be helpful.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • do you have any security plugins installed?

to make sure i would go and rename my plugin folder and refresh the page, worth contacting your hosting company too

contact your hosting company, if i get an Ip block on my sites, its only a temp thing, say 15mins then it lets me back in.
I would also rename plugins folder to pluginsold, refresh your page and try and login, if you can, then you know its a plugin issue

Hi, you didn’t say that this would stop all of my pluggins from working. This is a serious issue, now our website is messed up, and the place where I accessed the files in WordPress is down.

We got the plugins to work again, but it took a bit of time.

It wasn’t a pluggin issue – the Hosting company – WPEngine said it’s not an issue from their end.
