iOS Registration Issue

  • Hello,

    Thank you for the great plugin, it has been perfect so far.

    Unfortunately I have had feedback regarding issues with site registration on iOS devices. I have tested this myself on an iPhone 4 and an iPad (with Chrome & Safari) and I am experiencing the same registration problem.

    What is happening is that the username field is always returning the ‘Invalid username’ error message on any username input. I have tried valid username variations and entries that are definitely not linked with any user account, but nothing seems to be accepted.

    With other mobile and tablet devices that I have tested, the registration works just fine, it seems to only be an issue for iOS (iPhone & iPad).

    Is anybody else having similar a similar registration problem?

    I would be very grateful for any help with this issue.

    Hi Tom,

    Another user reported this issue, and we thought it was only on iPhone 6, but this might be an issue on iOS8, which would make sense.

    Can you let me know what iOS version you have?

    Thank you for your reply.

    I am using iPhone4 with iOS 7.1.2

    I cant confirm yet the iOS version of the iPad I tested with as it was a colleagues, but I will post as soon as I find out.

    I can confirm that the iPad I was testing the registration with was using iOS 8+

    Hello. Is it ok to reply here or should I post my own thread? Im sorry to OP if i jump in because I have a similar issue and I’m using Safari on Yosemite and also test Safari on snow leopard, same thing, invalid username. Tried all possible combination of syntax to create a username still gives an “Invalid Username” error.

    Has this issue been resolved already? Thanks.

    Hi everyone, thank you for reporting the iOs issue. We’ve been focusing our energy in fixing bugs in the Pro version lately, and have a fix for this bug, which we’ll be implementing in our next release.

    We anticipate a new update for our free version by next week. The update will include major bug fixes. You can follow our issue list on Github
