Thanks for that. Where I would start here would be testing for either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

Hi,

Thank you – it’s not possible for me to do that fully as it’s a live eCommerce site. Plus the only way i can check whether the images reappear is by looking at my phone on the live site so i can’t disable a plugin that is required to run the site anyway.

I’ve disabled as many plugins as i can without breaking the site and the problem is still there (cleared caches every time i checked). Do you have any other ideas please?

Hey there!

It could be that this issue is a bug, so I’d really recommend that conflict testing to confirm that – since you’re not able to do so on a live site, I’d recommend using a staging site. Your host may have a tool to create a staging site, or you can use a plugin like WP Staging to create one

Hello, thank you but if i use a staging site, I can’t view it live on mobile and images disapear over time on IOS only. No worries, i will get to the bottom of it.

With a staging site, it should be viewable on a mobile device as it should have a URL – though maybe it is something specific to the setup which is causing that issue. Let us now the results of the testing!
