iOS link triggering is flaky, sometimes requires two clicks

First of all, thank you for your blog and plugin contributions to speeding up WordPress! They have been helpful!

On this plugin, I noticed the same issue as some other people noted here where it sometimes takes two taps to trigger links on iOS after I install this plugin (using a 5 second delay on gtag.js). My symptoms are very similar to this:

It’s definitely intermittent. Timing seems to affect it. Scrolling to bottom of page then tapping a link makes it happen more reliably for me.

Unfortunately, I had to deactivate the plugin, as it is on a production site and I can’t leave it in that state. I don’t think it’s related to plugins as I have no overlap with one of the other folks who listed their plugins. Rather, I believe it to be an iOS bug. I’m not expecting a solution because I haven’t given you enough information to reproduce the problem! I’m just commenting to give you a data point that the problem exists, and to inform other users to check their sites on iOS thoroughly when using this plugin (it doesn’t happen every time; maybe once in 6 taps).
