iOS – Lightbox not working

  • I’ve posted this before, but got no response for many days, so I am posting again.

    I have used NextGEN to create multiple photo galleries on a clients test site – which is now ready to launch when I get the iOS lightbox issue resolved.

    As you can see, the lightbox works when viewed in the browser, but does not work on any iOS device. I have tried all variations provided, and none of them are working.

    I have been trying to troubleshoot this myself with little success, and this is the last issue I need to overcome before the customer agrees to launch the site. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    @sweetwatermedia – Unfortunately none of the bundled “standard” Lightbox libraries bundled with NextGEN Gallery are all that good on iOS.

    We feel our NextGEN Pro Lightbox solves that issue well but that may not be what you are looking for in this case.

    When you say the Lightbox does not work on any iOS device what exactly are you referring to?

    Hi @photocrati/cais – that’s kind of crappy news. The client is dead set on this working on iOS won’t launch without the gallery working on their iPads.

    What I meant is that when I go to the link above with any iOS device, I can see the gallery as intended, but when I click on it it does absolutely nothing. No Lightbox created – no image in a new tab – just failure.

    I would be willing to look at NextGEN Pro Lightbox if it would solve my problem. It has to work, and if that means I pay for an upgrade,then I am more than willing to do so – but it MUST fix the issue.

    @sweetwatermedia – That the Lightbox Effects do not work at all with an iOS device would have me think you have some sort of conflict with another active plugin or possibly the theme itself. Have you checked that?

    Also, as you are saying no Lightbox is working, I cannot say the NextGEN Pro Lightbox will work, especially if there is already an existing issue stopping the other Lightbox Effects from working.

    @photocrati – Let me rephrase. NextGEN Lightbox is not working. I have another Lightbox on another page that works fine on iOS. It is part of the theme itself. (Central, if you’re interested)

    For example – this Lightbox (https://pioneer.sweetwatermedia.ca/portfolio_page/red-feather-1670-sf/)on this page works on iPad during my testing.

    Still, if we can conclude that PRO will fix this, I am willing to pay the $
