    So our site has had a mixture of customer. Android / windows seem totally fine but iOS devices have been a nightmare. Ive got an ipad myself and faced the exact same issue when testing.

    Customer can make a reservation for a room and add to cart fine. The issue is on the final checkout page just before you click the pay button. If you select pay by card, you cant actually enter any payment details as when you click on the card details entry boxes, nothing happens. Same issue for the main paypal option. If iOS devices try to click the yellow paypal button, it either vanishes or just logs the user out but doesnt allow you to complete payment.

    We were using paypal checkout and exact same problem on that plugin too so wondering if its a theme related issue or if this is a known issue on ios??

    It HELLA annoying anyone please help??

    woocommerce 5.5.2
    paypal payments 1.5.1
    travelerwp theme 2.9.6

    thank you for reaching out to us; we are happy to take a look at this.
    I have opened a bug ticket and have assigned it to a tester that can test on iOS devices. We have had a similar issue, but in that case, only the translation of the button did not work for the smart button; it seems there might be more issues occurring on iOS devices.

    It might take some time before you get a response on this because we are in the middle of the 1.6.0 release and are spread thin at the moment.

    Thanks for the update!

    Just to also confirm, I actually got access to a relatively new 2019 Macbook air and it worked fine on safari and google chrome without issue. Both the paypal button could be clicked and opened and loaded to paypal in the popup box and when trying to enter card details, it also allowed you to enter without problem.

    I went onto an old ipad mini 2 retina and same problem. Could not click the paypal button and if on the off chance I could after several reloads, it would log me out and the paypal button would vanish entirely. If i tried paying by card, it does not allow you to even enter the card box so no keyboard opens to enter numbers…..

    This has been a major problem for a lot of iOS users on my site so please have your tester look into it. I appreciate you may be spread thin due to the 1.6.0 release but I would like to think this is a pretty big issue that should really be resolved in the 1.6.0 release as ive actually had customers not want to use the site due to these issues and are really disliking paypal ??

    @joostvandevijver any updates as to this issue? I see the 1.6.0 release has made no difference for my issue as an update for you guys…..still same problem. Also the paypal button when you scroll up hovers over the header nav rather than below which is rather strange?

    Hello @crewcabins

    that the header CSS of your theme comes from your theme. It seems the z-index is lower than the z-index of the PayPal button. Maybe you can find the z-index of your theme and increase it. Please share your website with us so I can have a closer look at it.

    Also, I just tried different iOS devices like iPhone (X, SE, 7,8, etc.) and iPad (6,7,8) with safari browser and I couldn’t reproduce that issue.

    On June 13, 2016, with the release of iOS 10, Apple dropped support for the iPad 2 because of its hardware and performance issues. So I guess the issue is your iPad2 and not our plugin because your iPad does not support it.

    Thank you. Please let me check this. On June 13, 2016, with the release of iOS 10, Apple dropped support for the iPad 2 because of its hardware and performance issues. So I guess the issue is your iPad2 and not our plugin because your iPad does not support it. But for newer iOS models it should work fine.

    but this makes no sense as even if support was dropped, i can now click the paypal button after the release of 1.6.0 which is great and it opens the link to login BUT when i click to enter card details on the card option, it does not allow me to click the area at all still so seems like a paypal plugin related issue as the login option now works……?

    would it be possible to create an account for us because the registration and booking process is very difficult.

    To rule out a conflict with a different plugin, could you please try activating the default Storefront theme and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists?

    Of course, please register on the account using your own login details but select general public and notify me when youve registered. I will then manually approve your account for full access to booking. When you do test, DO NOT book any of the main active rooms eg room 1,2,3,4. Please only use the Test Booking Room. If you need me to setup a sandbox for payment then let me know…..

    I cant currently deactivate theme and plugins as have dev working on another feature so he needs currently. In meantime please do your own order testing to see if you can recreate the errors. I also have videos sent to me by customers showing the fault if this helps? I can try and email them to you?? It perfectly shows the problems on video….
