iOS App Login Affected

I can login to my self-hosted site using the wordpress.com ios app – if and only if this plugin is deactivated. Is this an expected behavior? Sounds like this plugin is affecting the authentication process for the XML RPC APIs used by the iOS client.
Let me know if that is intentional – perhaps i could provide more information
