I am trying to re-encode the ImageMagick Usage pages (example: https://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/canvas/) in WP. These pages are coded in plain HTML so far.

One speciality of their HTML code is that Unix shell code embraced by <code Execute> is extracted and generates the example images automatically, to ensure that the code is working and generates the image(s) presented.

So far, this is done once and for all when the page is setup, and the images are then permanent. I wonder whether one could define a similar “template” (like in Wikipedia) which could be referenced and would create the example images on-the-fly everytime the page is called, or – even better – could just be initiated when the page is published.

    Any ideas about this?
