Invoice total wrong after refund

  • I applied a refund to an order in WooCommerce and it shows the correct amount in WooCommerce but the invoice total still shows the original total even though the line totals have been updated.
    I tried removing a line item and the total also still remains the same as the original total.

    Hello Ryan,
    The invoice should not be modified by refunds, this is against the law in many countries. However, are you saying it does modify parts of the invoice after refunding (“the line totals have been updated”)? If so then that’s a bug indeed – the invoice should stay exactly the same.
    If you want an official document to send to your customer, then you have to create a negative invoice, called credit note or credit invoice. This is part of the Professional extension.
