• Downloaded and attached (email) invoice PDFs show only the logo at the top – the rest is blank with only the table separator lines all collapsed. Switching to the default template does not resolve the issue. On Woo 3.3.3

Hi! We have seen this issue before with a Swedish host named Loopia. It has to do with improper loading of some PHP libraries.
The solution in the case of Loopia was to switch from PHP 7.1 to PHP 7.0, which already fixes the issue… After that these customers could also switch back to 7.1 and it would all work without any issues.

I don’t know if you are actually hosted by Loopia too (I haven’t seen this issue anywhere else yet), so let us know if that helps!

We are on WP Engine on PHP 5.6 on WordPress 4.9.4 – What’s so odd is that it is working on our other site – which is nearly identical.

I have definitely not seen this issue with WP Engine before and many of our customers use WP Engine…
Have you tried PHP7? It’s highly recommended over 5.6 – wordpress runs twice as fast on PHP7!

By the way, you may also want to try to ‘reinstall fonts’ from WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Status, just to rule out an issue with the font files.

Oh man, trust me, we have been chomping at the bit. Unfortunately our theme dev has been dragging their feet. Their update is supposed to be out any week now!

Thanks I will try that with the fonts!

Darn – resetting fonts and temporary files did not fix it.

I’m sorry to hear that… If you have a staging environment where you can temporarily switch to one of the standard WP themes and switch to PHP7.X we can rule out an issue with the PHP version.
The plugin is still fully compatible with 5.6, but in the case of Loopia, it loaded some 5.6 libraries with the 7.X PHP versions and after switching PHP versions once, this was apparently reset/fixed. It’s possible that the reverse is happening on your PHP5.6 install (7.X libraries being loaded for 5.6).

it’s the only explanation I can currently think of…

    I’ll give it a shot – thanks

Thanks, it works for me ??
