I have Invoice Gateway as the 3rd of three payment options that are enabled in WooCommerce\Settings\Payment. I have configured and saved my message text in the IG configuration screen, and enabled the payment method in both places. I also logged out, closed and reopened my browser.

What do I do next to get this option to appear in the payment section of my checkout page?

[I posted this two days ago as an addendum to an existing topic, but apparently that topic remained closed, so I’m assuming my post was never seen.]

Is this plugin being supported by the developers, or WordPress, or is it community-support only? I’m now on Day 5 looking forward to some assistance…

All I had to dp was go to WooCommerce->Settings->Payments and activate the payment method.

Don′t forget to activate the invoice gateway by checking the checkbox. Done by clicking the button on the right hand side in the payments list and then checking the ckeckbox for activating the gateway.

I already took those steps, thanks. I assume you were not able to test the appearance of the gateway plugin on the Check Out page, as we have the whole Woo ordering and payment structure behind a password wall.

The site is currently in debugging mode, so I can’t test it either. When I didn’t get a response and couldn’t successfully display your plugin (even after taking the steps you describe above), I deactivated it and installed a similar plugin from Addify. That plugin didn’t work either, but I have a paid license for it so Addify tech support stepped in to try to find the conflict or issue. They are doing the debugging now; I’ve asked them to stop and advise what changes they have made so far, then reopen the site so that I can test whether your plugin is now working – and we can figure out what was blocking it before.

I’ll repost with updates when I have them.

We paused the debugging process, deactivated the Addify plugin, activated your plugin, and checked the settings to confirm that we followed the same steps you took.

The method still doesn’t display on our Check Out page.

The assumption is that there’s code or a plugin that is preventing the payment methods from displaying. We are now resuming debugging efforts.

    I’ll report back on findings.

    Hi @togsteam,

I’m sorry for missing this support question.

It seems that you’ve activated and enabled the Invoice Gateway for WooCommerce in the WooCommerce Payment setting just fine. I just tried this on my testing environment with the latest WooCommerce and WordPress. It shows just fine for me. https://snipboard.io/6PhwWY.jpg

So there might be some third-party plugin or theme configuration that prevent this from showing up. Could you please try to reproduce the issue on one of the WordPress stock themes (like Twenty Twenty Two) with only WooCommerce and Invoice Gateway for WooCommerce plugins activated? If it disappears, then you can activate the theme and plugins one by one to see which one causes the issue.

Please let me know how it goes.

Fauzan – Good news – with the help of a long session with Woo support, we identified the issue… it was the Woo Role Based Methods plugin that was preventing the display of the pay-by-invoice method. It turns out that when the RBM plugin is activated, it reads the currently-active payment methods only once (it’s not interactive to changes). So, once we activated/configured the PBI plugin first, then RBM, and RBM recognized the PBI method and let me assign it as an option to selected roles.

So now the plugin is visible on Checkout, and posts the defined message to the notification email.

I have several other questions, but in order to maintain forum threading, I’ll search and post them separately.
