Invoice number no longer changes

  • Hi ewout,
    I just noticed that I can no longer set the invoice numbers manually. Unfortunately I can not say since when, possibly since new year?
    Before that, it worked just fine if I entered any number in the plugin settings under “next invoice number” and then manually created a PDF-invoice within an order (without sending it to the customer).
    If I now enter an invoice number, it will not be saved. When I renew the page, the number-field is empty again and the manually created pdf-invoice has no number.
    I took a few screenshots to show the error, but I don’t know how to show / send.

    Hello Lena,
    That’s quite strange… What is the number you try to enter? Is it very big?

    Thanks for the quick response.
    The number I tried was not big at all, 1 also 001?
    The last numbers of the last year were 230.

    If I switch to “order number” everything works as expected. But unfortunately I need my own invoice numbers.

    Then I’m afraid I don’t have a direct explanation. Do you enter “1” or “001”? You should NOT include any formatting or prefixes/suffixes, so just “1” would be the way to go here… You can normally enter numbers up to 2147483647.
