• Hello

I have two testsites which i plan to launch today or tomorrow. However, after latest upgrade of the plugin, one of the sites testsiteyoga.nayavita.com doesnt attach the invoice in the right language. It used to however. The other site, testsite.nayavita.com does it still correctly.

I havent changed anything on my side and it worked fine before so what is the issue, and more importantly, how can i fix.

I am not a developer so straightforward easy to follow advice is much appreciated. I am using WPML and it is all translated and as i said, invoice was attaching correctly in english before. Now it is only in Czech.

And I reiterate, this is not a WPML issue, as it changed with latest PDF invoices plugin upgrade.

    THanks for your help

Hi Alex – I am not sure tbh but I only got the plugin two weeks ago so whatever version was the latest before the last upgrade.

    Hi @marcinayaadmin

There is no relation between the last version and the one you had previously, both should work the same way in this particular situation.

Can you tell me in which language is the site and the Admin user profile language?

    Ok.

The website is in Czech (default) and English. My admin profile is in Czech

    Hi @marcinayaadmin

Documents in the frontend and the ones emailed to the customers will always be in the site language Settings > General > Site Language.

Other than that, you must specify the user language in Users > Your Profile > Language accordingly. For example, if you decide to add another admin and you want him to see the document in Czech, you must change his language with this instruction.

We have chosen to follow WooCommerce conventions for the language of the documents to keep things consistent.

That is the problem. The document is attached in the wrong language. The site language was selected to English, English confirmation email was generated to the customer, English order confirmation was displayed on the website, and Czech invoice was attached. That is wrong.

I have two websites, and on one it works fine. On this one, it doesnt.

To add, the order was generated in incognito mode so it should not be of relevance what langugage is my admin profile in.

    Hi @marcinayaadmin

My answer was based on yours:

The website is in Czech (default) and English.

To add, the order was generated in incognito mode so it should not be of relevance what langugage is my admin profile in.

Like i said, seeing the invoice in frontend or email no, but if you’re seeing the invoice in the backend, your Admin language will be used.

Did you change the location of the language files? The plugin checks for translations in the following order:

    1. /wp-content/languages/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips-LOCALE.mo
    2. /wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips-LOCALE.mo
    3. /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips/languages/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips-LOCALE.mo

I haven’t moved anything. I am not IT so really don’t go anywhere near the files.

    Hi @marcinayaadmin

I understand. Can you please reinstall the plugin and let me know?

    Hi Alex,

We just found some WPML issues and corrupt Database so might be a cause here. Let me work on that for a bit and get back to you if the issue prevails.

Many thanks for your help so far. It seems there are some wider problems on the website.
