Invite feature & ability to Decline (maybe in Pro ver?)
-
Hi,
I’m a user of the free Events Manager plugin, and thank you first and foremost for the excellent service. I’ve been contemplating on signing up for Pro, but am hesitant due to some features that are lacking.
1. I like that you can manually add bookings (Pro), but have had trouble finding an easy way to invite users to an event, short of sending them an email or using an email plugin.
2. Ability for invited people to Decline an event. I understand that Events Manager is designed to sell tickets, but there’s no way for someone to let the organizer know that they can’t make it, short of saying so in the comments.
3. Ability to hide events from the Event list/Search. For example, an event can only be visible if you have the URL. I’m currently using a Password-protect feature to make events private/invite-only. Those not invited can’t see the event.
4. Ability to create potluck-style events or events with a sign-up list. Meaning, the ability to provide a list of items that are needed, and for guests to sign up who will bring that item. This is great for camping trips where we, for example, need 2 tents, and friends can then choose who can bring one.
I’d be willing to sign up for Pro if those shortcomings can somehow be added. The goal for Event Manager for me is to make it easier to organize hiking, camping, and casual get-together events with friends. No sale of tickets.
My blog is at https://www.yuen360.com/blog/events.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find a Search feature on this forum, and these questions aren’t addressed in the EM documentation.
Thanks a bunch,
Michael
