Investment of new contributions

  • Hello, everybody,

    I updated to the new WordPress version a few days ago and have a problem since then. It may also be that the problem has been around for some time, since I haven’t written any new posts in 3 months.

    If I go to Settings and Read, I only have the pages for the static pages and contributions – but no contributions to choose from.
    I had already done a reset of my WordPress blog via WP Reset once and then reloaded the data, but that only led to problems because the post images were no longer available.

    I ask for your help, I am at the end of my Latin and have already tried the search engine, but without success.

  • It sounds like your upgrade isn’t complete. That happens once in a while.

    If you can login to the dashboard and get to the update page there will be a button to select ‘Re-install Now’. Clicking that button will do another reinstall and that may be all you need to do.

    Else, you might need to do a manual re-install! This writeup is for Kinsta but is excellent for most any web host I’ve seen if you need it.

    Do create a backup of what you have just in case something goes wrong. That’s backup all files and the database.

    Hi,

    I have tried the new installation before. Over the admin interface and over ftp – no luck ??

    I have disabled all plugins – no luck.
    I have changed the theme to the default – no luck
    I have deleted the plugindata in the database- no luck
    I have repaired the database over WordPress and phpmyadmin – no luck ??

    Do you have any idea?

    Hi.
    I have a same problem as you are facing now. Just like you said, no luck at all. Are you using elementor builder or did something with the database SQL ?
    I’m checking my website now hope I can find a way to fix this.

    Hey. I found out why. I think you imported Posts in to your new website with some 3rd plugin or tool of wordpress. Anh the SQL Database structure is corrupt now. Sad to say.
    Solution for me now that I have to remove & restore the wp_post at the time before import posts. That’s make my website works again & no error.
    Hope you have your database backup. Or you have to export all post of your website. Delete all wp_post in database then re-import post again.
