Inventory Setting Issue (backorders)

We’ve noticed that the backorder status for each bundle can’t be updated to ‘allow’ for backorders. In fact no adjustments can be made to the settings. After making any changes to the product inventory for individual bundles, the settings just revert to ‘manage stock enabled’ and ‘backorders do not allow’. So currently any bundle that has stock not on hand can’t be ordered. We need to have backorders enabled with our bundles as we drop ship some components from a supplier, and others we need to have available as a preorder.
