Hello, My Woocommerce inventory is linked to my shop inventory on Faire through an integration. I am having an issue where I update my inventory, confirm both sites are the same, but then each day after items are removed from both shops without any sales happening — so much so that I end up with negative inventory (which is terrible for sales). It doesn’t happen all at once or even to all items at once. Any idea what is going on???

I tried to reach out to Faire about this (since it’s their integration, duh), but they told me they couldn’t help me until I reached out to Woocommerce first since it all happens within your framework. That didn’t seem right, but I’m at my wits end, so here I am! HELP!

    Thank you so much.

    Hello 4kittenbritches,

Thank you for contacting Woo support.

To understand this problem in a better way, I need to look at the integration between the site and the shop inventory on Faire. Is there a plugin you are using to achieve this?

If it is a plugin, could you share a screenshot of the plugin settings?
The important point is to figure out the flow of the data.

Does updating WooCommerce inventory update the Faire inventory?
Or it is the other way around.

Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to help you.
Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

Thank you so much for your reply, Zubair!

It is a plugin — just called “Faire for Woocommerce”

If I adjust inventory on the Woocommerce side it will adjust it on Faire. But if I sell something on Faire it is supposed to adjust it in Woocommerce as well.

I’ve noticed the biggest errors in inventory since I switched the Order Sync Mode to “sync orders automatically”, but I’m not sure if this is the cause.

    Here are the plugin settings:

    Thank you!

    Hello 4kittenbritches,

    Thank you for your reply.

I am not familiar with Faire for Woocommerce as I have not used it before.
Also as per forum guidelines, I can only help you with the issue if it is related to WooCommerce.

This brings us to the next step, to find out on which side the problem lies.
Try to update the inventory on the WooCommerce end and see if you notice any problems?
Then repeat the same step but on the Faire for Woocommerce plugin’s end.

This test will help reproduce the issue and also find out which side is causing it.
Let me know about your findings. ??

    Best regards.

I understand — thanks for trying to help me on the Woocommerce end! I’m not receiving any replies on the Faire plugin side. :'(

Updating inventory on the Woocommerce side doesn’t create any problems. The numbers all update perfectly to Faire.

Updating inventory on the Faire side doesn’t change the numbers at all on Woocommerce. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to — I had asked them about this when I was first integrating but never received a response.

I thought of some other significant things to note:

    1. The errors always show that I have less inventory than I do.
    2. The stock level will go into the negatives, but in both Woocommerce and Faire I have back-ordering turned off.
    3. The errors build over time. Not immediately, not on all products, and not all at once. The discrepancies start about a day after updating and keep building. (despite having no sales)
    4. The discrepancies seem to happen only on products that I sell often, so I wonder if it’s pushing through orders from Faire over and over?

    Hi @4kittenbritches

You mentioned that the discrepancies seem to happen only on products that you sell often, which could suggest that the Faire plugin might be repeatedly pushing through orders. This needs to be investigated further.

In the meantime, I recommend you disable the “sync orders automatically” option in the Faire for WooCommerce plugin settings. This could potentially prevent inventory discrepancies from building up over time.

Please keep us updated on any changes or if you notice any patterns that could help us understand this issue better. Thanks!
