When new orders are made on my site, the stock levels are noted as being changed in the order notes [eg: Stock levels reduced: My Product (ABC123) 7→6]. However, when reviewing the product inventory itself after the order is placed, the quantity is unchanged. In my testing, when I manually update the quantity of a product from a product page, the changes are not reverted later.

The most notable change that has been made to this site is the database was restored from its state from 3 days prior, because of an unintended deletion. No other major changes have been made or have happened in this environment.

To be clear, this was not happening before the database was restored. I do use Square for Woocommerce, but I am not yet convinced this error is related to that plugin. Thanks in advance for reviewing this and for any help.

We would definitely expect a purchase to update the inventory level right away on the back end of the product. Since you are using Square, you’re welcome to get in touch with support directly about this. Make sure to select Square as the product when opening up a ticket.
