    Hello,

We are experiencing a strange bug. We made the following recording to demonstrate it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TyP5FEopmc

    In short:
    1. we create an order for any product
    2. when order is created, the quantity gets marked as “on hold”
    3. when order status changes from “awaiting payment” to “processing” or “completed”, the quantity is transferred from “on hold” to “sold today” but Current stock does not decrease!
    4. However, if we go back to the order, set it to “awaiting payment” and follow the woocommerce customer payment page link as if order gets paid, the quantity actually updates as it should!

Do you think the payment portal is causing the issue? We are using the basic cash on delivery option.

Also, manage stock levels and other options are all on in the ATUM settings.

Any input would be really helpful. Thank you!

Also, if we create a completed order, the “sold today” number increases but the current inventory does not decrease. So it is not related to payment method I think.

    Hi crazzo,

Thank you very much for your post and video.

I have watched it carefully, but can’t see any bug. The plugin works as we designed it. Let me explain the statuses and changes in Stock Centra.

    1. You created an order ‘awaiting payment’ – the product is still physically in stock so the stock has not changed. For your information there are 2 products in on hold column to show you as a shop owner that from the physical stock you have 2 products to process.

    2. changing status to ‘processing’ – this means your employee or you have physically taken the product and starting packing it for export. Product is still in stock so this figure stays the same, but as you are already processing it means the product was paid so the sold today has to increase.

    3. changing back to awaiting payment just reverts to the above (point 1).

    4. changing status to ‘completed’ means the product has left your company. Sold today stays 2 in your case and the real stock decreases by 2 as you no longer have physical stock.

Please, do let me know if you think this should work differently and we will make it a point in our meeting with devs.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Best Regards,

    Pavel

    Hello Pavel,

Thank you for the fast response.

Your logic makes sense but on 4. the real stock does not decrease.
Here is a second video to illustrate: https://youtu.be/DLE7uvj1XZI
The quantity moves from “on hold” to “sold today” but the current stock never changes from 5.

This issue does not happen on orders done through the website. This happens only on manual orders we create in the menu.

I am glad and hope you keep using ATUM till we get there.

    Hi crazzo,

I am very sorry, but I have just realised that WC does not discount stock automatically in manual orders. You need to use the remove from stock button in the order.

ATUM only reflects what WC does. ATUM does not edit stock on its own.

Let me know if you understand, please?

    Thank you,

    Pavel

    Hello,

Yes, I understand. This is fine as now we know the issue and will find a solution.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Sure, but not an issue really. That’s how WC was designed to work.

Just select the products after you create an order and click to reduce stock.

    Hope it helps.

    Pavel
