How does one differentiate in the inventory the number available?

Here is what I am talking about. I know how to do the attributes and variations but here is an example.

I have hoodies that are pullover and zip-up. I have different color options and sizes along with style.

Let’s say I have 2 pullovers in XL blue but no zip-ups in XL blue. My attributes are Size, Color, Style. My attributes are all the sizes and colors and styles with the control inventory box checked. Do I need to create another attribute differentiating between styles? I’d like to keep it as simple as possible on the page.

    Hi there,

    Hmmm, you mentioned the following:

My attributes are Size, Color, Style

    and

Do I need to create another attribute differentiating between styles?

If I understand correctly, you *already* have an attribute for style (i.e. zip-ups and no zip-ups). The inventory count would need to be added to those variations ??

I understand and did that but how do you control the inventory of each individual item (ie. pullover/zip-up)

It only shows “style” and not the individual item inventory. If I have 1 pullover and 1 zip-up, How do I delineate that?

    Hey,

Once you enable inventory for each variation, that will allow you to control and see the correct status for each product variation separately. Because you mentioned “style” is an attribute, this would make it into a variation that would then be stock manageable.

However, it’s not entirely clear how you are currently having these set up at the moment so feel free to share some screenshots of the current setup and the current results.
