    Quite a few of my blog’s articles are not publishing to Apple News. The error for the link I have added above for ‘best spa breaks in Yorkshire’ was:

    INVALID_DOCUMENT – “text” was “” should be not (null or an empty string) (keyPath components->1->components->6->text)
    INVALID_DOCUMENT – “text” was “” should be not (null or an empty string) (keyPath components->1->components->36->text)
    INVALID_DOCUMENT – “text” was “” should be not (null or an empty string) (keyPath components->1->components->58->text)
    INVALID_DOCUMENT – “text” was “” should be not (null or an empty string) (keyPath components->1->components->81->text)

    Any help much appreciated to help resolve this.

  • It seems it does not like blank lines at the end of articles
    (seen as ' ' in text mode).

    Also previously had problems with other unusual characters that are not in the standard range – like you might find in french etc.

    Thanks @stephenmax and @jomurgel for your help – I have removed all the spaces and it has now resolved this issue for the article in question.

    However I have tried to apply the same method to this article but the below error messages are appearing – although I’ve removed any spaces and checked for special characters https://yorkshirefoodguide.co.uk/blog/boutique-hotels-in-yorkshire/

    There has been an error with the API:
    INVALID_DOCUMENT – “text” was “” should be not (null or an empty string) (keyPath components->1->components->22->text)
    INVALID_DOCUMENT – “text” was “” should be not (null or an empty string) (keyPath components->1->components->172->text)
    INVALID_DOCUMENT – “text” was “” should be not (null or an empty string) (keyPath components->1->components->203->text)

    Any help much appreciated.

    We get this every time we publish also. We’re a news site and publish 10-15 news stories a day. Just got an alert from Apple that nothing has been published on our Apple News page for three months.

    And I just went through and reset the API, and secret key and still nothing.

    Any update on this? The bug still persists.

    This problem has persisted for many months – probably going back over a year. Empty tags or the dreaded html space   still throws errors. I’m not a great coder by any stretch but I’d have thought a simple filter adjustment would eradicate basic html problems?
