• I rather like the image gallery supplied by the latest version of WordPress 2.6 but was very disappointed to find that much of it is invalid XHTML. What happened to “code is poetry”. Are there any work arounds. If not I guess I will go back to doing it myself.

  • I have seen a plugin that sorts out the invalid XHTML. However it would be nice for the output from the gallery to be valid code. Is there a reason why this isn’t the case with 2.6.1 – and is this going to be corrected in the next update to WordPress?

Hi. I’d recommend this plugin,Cleaner Gallery, by Justin Tadlock.

    Good luck. Mike.

That’s the plugin that I had seen. However the questions still stand -it would be nice for the output from the gallery to be valid code. Is there a reason why this isn’t the case with 2.6.1 – and is this going to be corrected in the next update to WordPress?

Does anyone know if this is going to be corrected in WordPress 2.7? And if not, why not?

It’s a very disappointing thing that WordPress doesn’t produce valid code.
