“Invalid value for posted size/color” on Mobile – previous posts unhelpful

    I’m really struggling with this problem, and all my searching and contacting plugin developers, theme support, etc. isn’t providing useful… maybe someone would be amazing enough to help here?

    I’m having this problem on mobile only. It persists when I turn off plugins and also when I switched my theme to twenty-seventeen.

    On mobile when selecting a product with variations (size or color), the first problem is that nothing happens (the page doesn’t update with the selected color or size). The second problem is when a user tries to add the product anyway, the message, “Invalid value for size” or “color” appears. Strangely enough, a few moments after this message the correct variation sometimes does appear and is able to added to the cart.

    Please, any advice is greatly, greatly appreciated! This problem is driving me crazy.

    Hi there,

    I’m not really sure what to suggest here, sorry! It’s very strange that this only occurs on mobile, and that it only occurs temporarily. I noticed that if I leave a page open for a few moments and then retry it seems to work just fine.

    The only thing I noticed in the Inspector is that your attribute keys are attribute_size and attribute_color. Normally these would be attribute_pa_size and attribute_pa_color. I’m not sure if this would affect anything but it did make me wonder about how you added the attributes?

    It is of course possible that this is a bug – have you reported it on Github?
