Invalid username

    ‘m getting the message “invalid username” on my registration form – there are no gaps or special characters. It doesn’t seem to like capital letters – is this correct?

  • Hi there,

    This should not happen on a regular WordPress install.

    My guess is that it’s either because you are using WordPress MultiSite.

    Or because of some other plugin (or even the theme, who knows). In which case, the recommended course of action is to briefly disable everything, check that this solves the problem, and then enable one by one, checking each time to see when the problem returns.

    And our reply says:

    Please provide mode details.

    Please try to connect via FTP and manually disable the plugin by renaming the plugin folder, does this fix the problem?
