You getting this message because an error detected while delivered your email.
    For the domain: https://example.com
The log to paste when you open a support issue:
    Invalid “To” e-mail address “8”

I’m getting that last line for multiple email sends. It looks like it’s grabbing the wrong field for emails.

  • Hi,

What do your use for forms?

I’m actually using Project Huddle and it sends an email out to a user when you add them to a project. Do you think that mechanism is what’s grabbing the wrong field? Is Post SMTP abstracted from that?

Do you think that mechanism is what’s grabbing the wrong field?

I think so, post smtp is doing is stuff after the parameters (to, subject, message…) are passed to WordPress mailer function wp_mail

I can’t even test it, because it’s a premium plugin.

I was checking the logs further and it seems this error is happening only from one specific plugin so I’ll check with their support first.

    What is the plugin name?

Oh it’s Project Huddle. There was a recent update and it’s possible it broke. I’ll see if I can roll back and check if it’s causing issues.

Ohhh I thought you mean another plugin.
No problem, i’m here if you need more help.

It turns out it was the latest update for Project Huddle. I rolled back and it was identifying the correct email to send to.
