Invalid SKU even after deleting orphaned variations
-
One of my client’s is adding some products for a new collection, however, it seems that they created a product and didn’t bother to save it, and somehow the SKU’s got saved in the DB. Now they are trying to create them again and it appears that the SKU’s are already in use for all the variations. I’ve gone ahead and queried the SKU’s in the database, no results. I deleted the orphaned variations and 12 variations were deleted, but I still can’t create the variations with those SKU’s. I’m running out of ideas on what to do, this problem is going on in a live production website so I don’t have many choices. This is not my first time having this problem but I can’t seem to remember how I solved it the first time.
After doing a direct query on the DB, wp_postmeta seems to host the variations. Not really sure how safe it is to delete them.
