    Hi,

We’ve recently had a few users who have run into a “Invalid Security Token” error when trying to pay/checkout. After some testing on different devices and browsers, the only thing I can pin it to is when a user is potentially in incognito mode, although I’m not 100% sure if that is the root cause.

What I’ve done is temporarily enable “Disable Security Token Check” via wp-admin -> Stripe Payments -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Experimental Settings to hopefully bypass the issue for now.

I noticed a thread on the same issue on your own support forum, but we too are not using any caching at both WordPress and server level.

I’ve enabled logging via the plugin settings, and can share admin access if required, just let me know the best place to send credentials.

    Thanks

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Are you using a CDN service by any chance?

There might be a conflict with another plugin or theme. The following troubleshooting steps can help you.

Let me know how you go.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. I cloned over to a staging site, set the theme to 2024 and disabled all plugins (apart from this one) and still the same error.

    Thanks

Can you enable debug mode and carry out another test. Then check the log file and report back with any information found in the log file.

    Thank you.

I’ve had debugging enabled since I started this thread, so there’s a good amount of data. Is there an email address I can send the log to, please?

You can share the results from the log file without sharing any personal and private data.

    Kind regards.

Hi, here’s the log (I replaced user email addresses with [email protected]).

I see many error message like the following one.

    [02/01/2024 01:13:19 PM] – FAILURE: Can’t find product with ID: 5278

I also see a few error messages like the following one.

[02/04/2024 09:06:45 AM] – FAILURE: Page load signature check – cannot find this Product ID and IP address index (7530_92.40.184.48) in the saved data.

Something strange is happening on your site. Are you sure there is no cache setup anywhere?

    Regards.

No caching plugin active or server-level caching. W3 Total Cache was installed previously, but I have flushed the cache and had the plugin disabled for the last three or four weeks now.

Hi, Are you using this following deprecated feature by any chance?

    https://s-plugins.com/creating-payment-button-dynamically-adding-details-shortcode/

If you are using that option, please change/update to using the following standard option of the plugin:

    https://s-plugins.com/creating-product-stripe-payments-plugin/

Hi, sorry for the slow reply.

Shortcodes are embedded like this example:

    [asp_product id="7532"]

Products are / were created via Stripe Payments -> Add New Product.

    Thanks

Thank you for sharing the shortcode. That shortcode looks fine. Some kind of caching or conflict is happening on the server environment level.

You can try ticking the following checkbox from the “Advanced Settings” menu of the plugin:

    Disable Security Token Check

Alternatively, you can try a different plugin to see if that works on your site without any conflict with the server environment.
