Invalid or missing payment

    Customers are continually getting a “Invalid or missing payment details. Please ensure the provided payment method is correctly entered.” on the checkout page of our website.

    When I inspect the error message I get this:

    However the only payment method on our site is credit cards and WooPayment is active.

    Looked at other plugins and theme and this seems to be a WooCommerce or WooPayments issue. I have also tried to activate the debug feature on WooCommerce settings but it keeps reverting to unchecked after saving so I am sure this is not logging properly.

    Literally no one can purchase anything.

    hello,

    I emailed last week and was told to contact on the forum.

    I have responded to that email again now with the link to this post as you suggested. I truly hope someone can respond and help.

    I don’t understand how Woo can say they will not offer support on the plugin because I have not purchased a paid extension.

    We have already run a complete conflict test deactivating literally everything except Woocommerce, going back to storefront theme and installing woo code at checkout and it is not the fault of any other plugin.

    I even have a loom video showing this.

    Not only that but we removed Woo Payments and installed Woo Stripe and this did not resolve the issue.

    On top of that I did reach out to Woo.com who promptly came back and said as we do not have a paid extension they are not willing to assist in any way.

    So where do we go from here? You have asked me to go to woo.com and they are not interested.

    I know we cannot be the only one with this issue. Should we just disconnect Woo and go to Shopify?

    A TOTALY COLLAPSED SYSTEM……THOUSANDS OF E MAILS FROM DESPARATE USERS…….I THINK THEY JUST HAVE TURNED THE CORNER…YOU PAY FOR THE EXTENSIONS OR MOVE TO ANOTHER PLATFORM….FOR NOW I AM JUST\STAYING AT 8.4 WHICH WORKS….

    That’s interesting.

    Unfortunately the older version is not working for us but it does concern me that a) there could be vulnerabilities in the older version and b) they are absolutely ignoring the current versions major issue fobbing customers off with ‘conflict tests’.

    Woo clearly need to monetise the core plugin and recruit people to fix their many many bugs.

    To ensure we are on the same page, are you using a shortcode or checkout block on the checkout page? Also, does this error happen with card payments or express payment methods such as Apple Pay or GPay?

    For reference, this has NOT been resolved. Your team did not resolve anything via email. We have not been forced to move to Shopify. All I can say is for others, do not use Woo Payments.

    I am also experiencing the same error. It has happened with each update from 7.4.0 and on. I have managed to stop the conflict and continue to accept payments by downgrading to 7.4.0 after updating to 7.5+

    Support has suggested via email that I upgrade, which is what prompted my original inquiry – the upgrade broke my payment system. Downgrading back fixed it. But – how long will this be a viable fix?

    This is what is happening over the last few days…

    With Woopayments enabled, at the checkout page, the option for a customer to enter card details does not become visible so there no option to enter credit/debit card details. When one clicks the “Place Order” button, one gets the error, “Invalid or missing payment details. Please ensure the provided payment method is correctly entered.”. At that point, the card number, expiration date and security code text boxes become visible/enabled. The customer order comes through as “Failed” with no details as to why it failed.

    This appears to be a defect/bug in the current version. Currently running Woopayments Version 8.2.1.

    @rajeshml the issue has been resolved. It was caused by a Siteground optimizer plugin, specifically the setting “Combine Javascript Files”. Disabling that feature resolved the issue.
