    Hello guys,

Im running a small problem – can’t get te og file to be shown correctly on fb.

When I run sharing debugger it’s always showing the same wrong url.

    //504804-1601481-raikfcquaxqncofqfm.stackpathdns.com/wp-content/themes/woodmart/images/lazy.png

I’m running Yoast 15.5, WordPress 5.6, all plugins up to date.
Tried with disabled cloudways/stactkpath cdn – still nothing.
Disabled all the plugins, and went to Twenty Twenty theme, cleared cache – and still nothing – it’s always showing the same exact url that points to lazy.png in my theme. (I even deleted the whole theme, cleared cache – and still nothing, the same url)

I’ve uploaded variety of different images, and it’s always showing the lazy.png file.

I’ve reached my theme support, but in conclusion they wrote:

It looks like the problem with the SEO plugin. Even when our theme is disabled it has the same image. If you upload a featured image for the hope page it would load the image correctly. We don’t know how exactly the plugin should work but as you can see, our theme can’t influence this at all. Probably, it has some kind of cache or something that remembers one image and it is our lazy.png.

Can you help me please ?
    This is driving me nuts.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

We can see Yoast is outputting that incorrect og:image. We would like some more information.

    1. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    2. Are you using JetPack on the site?

    3. If you go to SEO-Social-Facebook is: 504804-1601481-raikfcquaxqncofqfm.stackpathdns.com/wp-content/themes/woodmart/images/lazy.png the default image that is appearing? If so, remove it. Does the issue resolve?

You can check the source code of the page and search for: og:image and see if the tags have been changed. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/help/view-page-source-site/

    4. How are you setting the image you want to show for: https://trimark.pl/? Are you setting it as a featured image for the page OR are you clicking on the Social tab in the Yoast Metabox and adding it to the Facebook image section?

    Hi,

Thanks for the information. Can you share a link to the image you want to share? We ask as we have some specific og:image standards and if the image is not set to it we may output a different image. This way we can take a look at the image and see if it meets our guidelines. @lucablight2 We checked on the image and weren’t able to find any issues with it initially. Are you able to provide the link to the file on your site though?

Also, can you please check your wp-config.php file to see whether there are any customizations, and whether the WP_CONTENT_URL value is set there?

    Hello guys

Any update on the issue ?

    Hi @lucablight2 ,

Just to confirm, is 504804-1601481-raikfcquaxqncofqfm.stackpathdns.com your staging site? We ask as the content seems to be the same and we are wondering if the changes on the open graph are done on the staging or on the live site.

If you reset the indexables on the live site by following the steps below, does the issue resolve?
    1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Process and speed up site” button to allow Yoast to rescan your pages.
