    Hello,

Since the last plugin update, Google is giving me errors on my FAQ pages:

Invalid object type for field ‘mainEntity’

Reporting the issue for fixing…. thanks.

  • Hi

Just an update, everything is working now with no errors, validation from Google came back as all fixed.

    Thanks again

Now I’m getting Duplicate field “FAQPage” and Missing field “mainEntity” error in Google Search Console.

    How to fix it?

    TIA.

    Hello raachotrekkers,

The Rich Tests Result isn’t displaying any warnings or errors for me, here’s a link to the results pages for your reference:

    and

Are you still facing the issue? If so, could you please provide more detail (e.g. how to recreate it) and perhaps a screenshot of where you are seeing the duplicate?

    Thanks

    Hey @raachotrekkers
Just my input in case this works for you since you are having the same error I had. My issue was with the Yoast plugin, it was adding a second FAQPage schema.
What I did was change the FAQ default Page Type to Web Page, not FAQ page and the Article Type to None
To do this go to your Yoast plugin settings:

SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types > scroll down to FAQs > Schema Settings > Default page type : select Web Page
    Default Article type: select None

If you have it like this already the error might be only on specific FAQ pages, you can see which pages on the Google Search Console, go directly to those pages within the FAQ plugin and change the Yoast settings there.

    Hope this helps
