    This may be a new bug or it might be a problem with our theme but I have gotten several messages from Google Search Console with the above error. I have traced it to the authors of the “WP Customer Reviews” posted reviews. Here is a sample of where they say the problem is:

    <meta itemprop=”author” content=”Tom M.” />

    I don’t know that much about this so I apologize if this is not a WP Customer Reviews issue.

    (By the way I love this plugin)

    Thanks.

    Same issue detected in GSC, and culprit is <meta itemprop=author content=”Denis Langone”/> in each review.

    I’m looking into this. Google updated something on their validator in the past day, because this just started.

    From past experience with these “errors”, they don’t seem to affect indexing of reviews, but it would still be nice to remedy the warning.
