Hi, I’m using the plugin in question but I’m getting an error that doesn’t allow me to download the attached file. On the page:
    https://www.italiayachtsinternational.com/iy-9-98-bellissima/

by clicking on Brochures or Technical specifications, a form will open. When I click SEND, it remains loading in loop and from chrome inspector, I see the error “Invalid_json”.
I tested if the form works alone, and if the download works alone, with positive results.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @robertomataluni,

Thank you for reaching out. If you could please provide the following to help us troubleshoot this issue:
    1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
    2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully
    3. Shortcode and a URL showing the Email Before Download failing

    Hi, here the shortcodes:
    1. [download id=”17153″]
    2. [contact-form-7 id=”15881″ title=”Download form”]
    3. [email-download download_id=”17153″ contact_form_id=”15881″]

But the error is for every shortcode (there are many downloads on various pages and no one works! Only if I’m logged with admin user). If you try, and retry, and retry, some time it works. Thanks for your help.

    Hi @robertomataluni,

Thank you for that. One thing I noticed missing is the URL to the page these shortcodes reside on? Would it be possible to provide that? Also since all shortcode for EBD, Download Monitor, and Contact Form 7 is not working it does not seem to be an issue with our plugin specifically. The issue most likely has to do with the shortcode being used not being syntactically correct. Please make the syntax is in compliance with each of the plugins and verify no extra whitespaces exist within the quotations.

Just to cover all bases you also have these plugins installed and activated correct?

    Hi @robertomataluni,

I see you have not responded but just thought we would suggest one more thing. When testing the shortcodes you provided us on our local testing site, it was giving us errors. It appears the double quotations you are using were of invalid syntax. Upon deleting your quotations and replacing them with new ones, the plugin/shortcode was now functioning properly. For example, try to change the download monitor shortcode you provided to this:

    [download id="17153"]

    Hi @mandsconsulting.
    Thanks for you help.
The syntax got busted when I did the copy paste from the site.
On the site, in fact, the quotation marks are correct. However, I tried to risk them, just to be safe, and the problem remains. I tested the three parts separately, and, as I said in the first post, the first two work (download monitor and contact form 7), while when I go to insert them in the context of the plugin, they no longer work. Obviously the plugins are active.

You can see the error on all the pages of the Yacths menu site, both in the brochures and in the technical sheets: https://www.italiayachtsinternational.com/
I’m waiting for your further feedback, thanks.

    Hi @robertomataluni,

Thank you for confirming the syntax issue. Would you be able to provide us a link/URL to the page where the contact 7 form and download monitor are working? While we wait on that we are also looking into the error message on the site.
    1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
    2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully

If it is on the same page would you be able to include them on a separate page for us? As we are having trouble finding them on the page of the URL you provided.

    Hi,

taking into consideration the tests he suggested to me, I noticed that the problem occurs even when there is only Contact Form 7 on the page, so at this point I don’t think it is caused by your plugin.
Now I have applied a momentary fix [define( ‘WPCF7_LOAD_JS’, false);], disable loading via ajax when clicking the “send” button, but I hope this is fixed as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your support and kind cooperation.

    PS
wrong conclusion, despite the fix, when the form is alone the fix works, in the pages with your plugin still nothing.
As you can see here (click on BROCHURE):
    https://www.italiayachtsinternational.com/iy-12-98-bellissima/

Here, there is only contact form 7, and it works:

    Hi @robertomataluni,

After investigating more the EBD plugin seems to be working. On this URL we were able to successfully fill out the contact form and receive the download both via email and at the bottom of the form.

    Hi @robertomataluni,
We have not heard a response in some time. Are you still needing assistance? If not we will resolve this post.

    (@robertomataluni)

    Hi,

I have thoroughly tested all the elements, and it emerged that the problem is due to contact form 7. At the moment I have made a manual fix, waiting for updates.
Thanks so much for the support.
