It works fine on my test site, my staging site, by multisite.

That multi-site of mine was initially created around WordPress 3.1. Multi-sites created earlier than about WP3.4 had blogs.dir folders, and that should now be migrated to the current media library folder structure and database records modified to reflect that.

I was trying Bulk Media Register to get the media library working again, but the plugin doesn’t address the problem (the blogs.dir structure outdated).

Removing Legacy ms-files.php from Multisite — https://anchor.host/removing-legacy-ms-files-php-from-multisite/ is what gave me the fix.

I’ve modified that script, to have error checking (I’d already moved the files, so the script tried moving core WordPress files). It works on subdirectory multi-sites, though the Anchor author had only tested on subfolder multi-sites.

Do you get an error if you select the drop down folder /wp-contens/uploads?
