Invalid file problem

Hi. I am using Buddypress on my site and with the Group Documents upload feature, files uploaded there are in the format
https://mysite.com/?get_group_doc=30/1380409717-somefile.pdf
It seems with the ? the gview cannot display the embedded pdf and throws up and error with invalid file.
If I upload the file directly to my site in a directory and the URL does not have ? in it, then it embeds fine.
