When attempting to validate my RSS feed (for use with Mailchimp, IFTTT etc.) using https://validator.w3.org/feed/ the following error is returned:

    This feed does not validate.
line 8, column 98: XML parsing error: <unknown>:8:98: duplicate attribute

Inserted into the feed is the code:

    xmlns:georss="https://www.georss.org/georss" xmlns:geo="https://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/wgs84_pos#" xmlns:georss="https://www.georss.org/georss" xmlns:geo="https://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/wgs84_pos#" >

Wherein lies the duplicate attributes. I have tried re-saving blog posts that contain locations to remedy the issue to no avail.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I see it in yours, but not in mine. Is it possible you have multiple plugins that are trying to add georss to your feed? Do you have any other location plugins installed?

Thank you for taking a look. I’ve got a number of plugins installed but non that I can easily discern are trying to add georss. I have a number of IndieWeb extensions installed:

    • WebMention
    • Semantic Linkbacks
    • Micropub
    • Post Kinds
    • Syndication Links
    • Bridgy for WordPress
    • IndieAuth
    • Microformats 2 (deactivated)
    • Simple Location
    • WebSub/PubSubHubbub

    In addition to:

    • Cloudflare
    • Jetpack for WordPress.com
    • Smush
    • Yoast SEO

I’ll try disabling the plugins one-by-one and see how it get on.

Turns out this came from Jetpack, which added duplicate data last year. It has been resolved in the latest development version, will be released soon.
