Invalid email addresses wont send either notification

Hi, I love your plugin, thank you so much! I have a strange issue I was hoping you could assist me with pretty please.
I have a Gravity Form that a customer fills in and uses their email (‘customer email’) and that email goes to the member’s email that they visited (‘member email’)
I have two notifications:
1) Customer email – thank you for filling in form
2) Member email – full details of the form (yet it has a reply to address as the customer email address).This has been working fine for years however.. I’ve recently noticed IF the customer enters a wrong email (e.g [email protected]) then NEITHER notification will go out. However if they enter a miss-typed email such as [email protected] then it still gets sent to the Member, just bounces from the customer email.
–> So it’s something to do with @hotmail.coN that triggers this issue.Any ideas how I can get at least the Member Email to send to the member? Regardless of if the customer email is wrong. It’s odd it is dependent on the customer email.
Would love any advice please ??
