    Hi folks –

    Getting the following error code:

There has been an error with the API: INVALID_DOCUMENT – The URL, [https://player.vimeo.com/video/], is invalid. Please see documentation for more details about embedded video. (keyPath components->2->components->17)

It should make sense, except it only happens when I put an Amazon “image and text” affiliate link in a post, which, as far as I can tell, has absolutely nothing to do with Vimeo. There are no Vimeo links on the post. There is no mention of Vimeo – I checked the page source code. I do not get the error if there are no Amazon links.

Thoughts? Need more info? Thanks in advance

Can you please provide the JSON for this article by going to the Apple News list in the WordPress dashboard and clicking “Download” for the post in question? Please copy and paste the contents of this file into pastebin and provide a link to that here.

Can you also do the same for the contents of the “Text” tab in the WordPress editor for that same post?

    Thanks.

    Congratulations! You found a bug!

The logic for embedded web video falls back to Vimeo if it encounters an iframe and doesn’t have another handler, where it should actually skip the component entirely.

I’m going to close this issue here in favor of tracking it in GitHub: https://github.com/alleyinteractive/apple-news/issues/371

Hey Ya’ll, I am getting much of a similar issue for my end. Any fix on this? ??

Here was I sent apple on request but resulted in me being sent to this link.
