    Hello,

We edited the wp-config.php file to enable debug mode and then when we opened the file manager we received the following error: “Invalid backend response.” Since then, we’ve been unable neither to edit any files nor to view any folders or files.

    PHP version: 8.2.21
    WordPress version: 6.6.2

    Hello,

The error you see after enabling debug mode could be related to file and folder permissions on your hosting server.

Please ensure that the permissions for your files and folders are correctly set—folders should typically have 755 permissions and files 644. Incorrect permissions can often cause issues with viewing or editing files.

In order to assist you further, could you please share a screenshot of the entire error message you’re receiving? This will help us better understand the issue and guide you more effectively.

We’re here to help and await your response!

    Thanks,
    WP File Manager Support Team
