I installed this plugin on Pantheon server. Now get the JSON error. It seems to work locally on my Mac. Running WordPress 4.6.1

I tested in Chrome, Safari, Firefox.- All current.

I installed through WordPress plug in manager and also direct FTP upload.

I’ve only one user right now, and set its folders to direct at wp-content/uploads and wp-content/uploads/fileManagerFiles/

The user doesn’t have any other folders.

I read posts which directed us to change file permissions to 755 or 0755.

I updated those folders permissions, mentioned above, and their subfolders.

I still receive the error. Is there a different folder which I should update?

    Please advise.

a little more info. In the log on Pantheon, it shows this error:

session_start(): Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: )
    in file: wp-content/plugins/advanced_file_manager_5/php/elFinderSession.php:43

I’ve tried setting permissions on the “advanced_file_manager_5” plugin directory and its subfiles & subfolders to 0775, 0777, and 0755- testing each time. But still have the same problem.

Also, there are no other plugins installed. Just workdpress 4.6.1 and PHP 5.5 on Pantheon.
The permissions ar open for rwx on all 3 user groups.

Are you sure it is file manager plugin? I see you mention an error at: file: wp-content/plugins/advanced_file_manager_5/php/elFinderSession.php:43 this file.

But the folder name for the file manager plugin is just “file-manager” not “advanced_file_manager_5”

    Thanks
