• Anyone else being driven crazy with unwanted user requests in your WordPress site? Is there any way to automatically delete them so I don’t have to constantly be manually deleting them? Of course “setting” only allows to list them as “pending”, but is there a workaround or plugin that is relevant? Thank You!

  • Hi there,

It looks like you are having issues with bots registration. Do you have the ReCaptcha service on that registration form?

ReCaptcha is a security service that protects your websites from them.

It should help you with this situation and you will not have to delete them since they would be blocked.

    Kind Regards

Thank you. I’m sure the site is allowing bots through. My only option in settings is to allow new user applications to be designated as “pending”. I have the free Akismet anti-spam installed, but it doesn’t seem to have a setting to look for new users specifically. Most of the Captcha plugins I see either aren’t compatible with my version of WP (6.0), or seem to be mostly associated with “Forms” plugins.

I have a free “Formidable Forms” plugin, but the Captcha in it requires a paid upgrade. I administer the non-profit site that has no budget for upgrades though. Are there any free compatible Captcha or other plugins I can install. Thanks again for your help.
