• When I go to connect the plug-in to Facebook, it wants the following:

your public profile, friend list, status updates and photos and your friends’ status updates and photos.

I don’t see any justification (or explanation) WHATSOEVER for it to have my friends list, photos of my friends, and status updates of my friends.

    No thanks!

Status updates: because without it, some albums return incomplete photo results. See: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13391308/facebook-graph-api-returns-partial-results-for-albums

Friends’ photos: so you have the option of importing albums that you appear in, even if you didn’t personally post them (your friends did).

Friend list: because Facebook asks for that by default. There’s no way to prevent it (unless they’ve since changed their API), and it is not done anywhere explicitly in the code. Before you write a negative review and damage my plugin’s reputation based on ignorance, please do your due diligence.

With the exception of the 3rd item (which I have no control over), the others are there because users asked for them. If you’d rather a less-functional plugin, feel free not to use this, but please refrain from trashing my rating for no conceivable reason.
