    If I want to set this up on a small office 7-system network using an intranet base, what do I have to do to the other 6 machines to use this intranet
    feature?

    What are the network requirements? You state it can be applied to one system then I find there’s not much else to tell me how to hook this up to the rest of my network.

    A hint would be helpful. Thanks.

    To clear up any confusion, the plugin is not related to a ‘network of computers’. By ‘intranet’ we are simply referring to a single WordPress website that allows members of an organization to share information by writing posts/pages on that site – and for the site to be private only to members.

    So, to use it, a web server needs to have WordPress installed. If the web server is on the internet, then at that point anyone in the world will be able to access it. If you install and configure this plugin, you can ensure that only registered users (which you can add manually to your WordPress site) will be able to access the content of the site.

    In that way, the plugin simply allows you to make a WordPress site private. It has a few other features that also make things easier for your employees to login securely, but it is nothing to do with your office network of computers.
