Intouch problem with unicode

Intouch works with English fine. But when I use Tamil (ta_IN) using unicode in the textarea, it returnes xml parse error as “missing closing tag </HR>, whereas there is no <hr> anywhere in the page. The whole site in Tamil otherwise.

Please help.
