Internet Explorer not working with embedded iFrame & JQuery page

I have a page with an embedded HTML page using an Iframe. The page is using a calculator developed with simple Javascript and JQuery.

It is working perfectly on all versions of Safari, Chrome, etc with the exception of Internet Explorer.

All references pointed to an outdated version of JQuery and a potential conflict of the theme already including a JQuery library. I have since used a newer version of the library (self hosted as I am afraid the calculator may not work with the latest version of JQuery).

Has anyone had similar issues with IE and how the problem is solved without redoing the entire page?
