Internet Explorer Issues

I’m having some issues with this site displaying well in IE. All other browsers are great. It is version IE11 on Windows 8. The top of the post and pages is being cut off by the header area, so that the first line or two of text is not showing. Also, the GCal calendar plugin widget is blank in IE. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I’ve tried adjusting the padding and margin on the inner div as well as a few other elements but nothing would work.
