internet explorer “can’t” open my blog

I am not sure where the issue is with the problems I am encountering. A few days ago I moved my blog over from wordpress.com to .org. I have set up some static pages as well, including a couple of image galleries where I have used the NextGEN Gallery photos I uploaded for the page, relatively easily. The only stuff in the scripts I have messed around with has had to do with font colors and sizes in the stylesheet.

Have Chosen the Elegant Grunge Theme, and Used NextGEN gallery to do up my (static) gallery pages. I have 6 pages altogether, 5 of which are ‘static’.

ANYhow.. yesterday morning (Mon) when I left it, I could access all the pages successfully through both Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.. and believe me I tried several times. Mid afternoon I went to go add something and just happened to go in through explorer, and I could access all 5 static pages, but here is what happens:

1) When I try and access my ‘blog’ page, explorer starts to load the page (I can see it in the background) but then an error message comes up

“Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site https://www.webbpottery.com/blog/blog/. Operation Aborted”

2) When I access my ‘gallery’ pages (both static), the thumbnails of my images that were created from NextGEN Gallery were totally distorted/stretched out horizontally. (NB The slideshow still works and the images in it come up perfectly fine. The images I uploaded initially were resized for the web btw)

I am suspicious that the problem is more to do with the theme since, and I just noticed this, the background on the 2 gallery pages is totally stretched out and the top layer of the theme background doesn’t load.

I didn’t see a similar prob in the forums, but if its called something could you please at least direct me to the other thread if there is instead of just closing my thread first..? I can’t resolve this without your help. Thank you.
