• Hi All

Can anyone help me please? My WordPress site has been running fine on all browsers for a while now, minus a few of the usual compatibility problems.

However, some time over the last few days something has happened to mean that the header no longer loads properly. I suspect it is something I have done and it is possibly to do with the search bar, but I can’t figure out what it is.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you.

Internet Explorer seems to be saying that the problem is with this line.

I don’t really know Java but it seems to me to be the part of the script that deals with my menu’s.

I have Googled the hell out of this problem but still no solutions that I can easily understand.

I am grateful for any help anyone is able to give me.

    Thanks

Internet explorer is not a good tool for editing wordpress. Even Microsoft says they have some problems with new codes used in example wordpress, so you should use some other explorer. Firefox i recomanded!

    Hi GPjens.

I am not using it to edit WordPress. The problem is that the site is not showing in Internet Explorer correctly.

Is it in compatability mode? click that little page icon near the browser refresh button.

Yes all is working fine there too. As I mentioned above, according to Internet Explorer, the problem seems to be with the line of Java posted above?

try changing the java version, look up another one to try.

I don’t know how to do that. As I mention, I do not understand Java?

I don’t know enough to be of much help, sometimes certain plugins or themes let you select it, sometimes it’s specified in the header.
Without someone who knows java you are more or less at the mercy of your theme auhor.
