    Hi,

I have this project for an international store with multiple currency, and been scratching my head over this two scenarios:

    Multisite Scenario
    woocommerce multistore plugin

    Single Install scenario:
    with these plugins:

    1. polylang for woocommerce
    2. woocommerce price based on country
    3. Hyyan WooCommerce Polylang Integration

    or just
    WordPress Multisite Plugin For Woocommerce

For this project I would love to handle languages, english / Spanish and Various currencies.

Any thoughts would more than welcome!!!

  • Hey Carlos,

Without a bit more detail it’s hard to narrow down. But having recently worked on a similar project (without the added complexity of different languages) the questions that first spring to my mind are:
    – Will WooCommerce be managing stock?
    – Are you selling from two or more different locations and if so, are the tax rates / laws different?

    Hi Emily,

    Thanks for writing…

Yes Woocommerce will be managing stock
Yes there are different countries: Colombia, Mexico, USA and rest of the world

But the main store is located in Colombia, with PayU account in Colombia.

    Again thanks.

If there are separate stock amounts for each of the stores then the single install won’t work, you’re better off with one of the other options.

I haven’t used WooCommerce Multistore, but on first glance it looks like the best option because it covers your stock, currency and language requirements. However, someone with experience in a multisite set-up may argue differently. There’s no doubt pros and cons for each.

I’d do a bit more research into the Multistore and Multisite plugins and see if you run into any problems, then contact the developers with some questions. Maybe see if you can get a free trial to test it out before you commit.
