Internal Server Error – Woocommerce Checkout
-
Hi there,
I’m new to this forum, so apologies if I have posted in the wrong area!
I would be pleased for any advice that you may be able to provide regarding an error message that I am getting within Woocommerce 3.3.5.
Background:
I have constructed my website 80% within https://themler.io/ (not the right thing to do!) and WordPress – I only do the occasional website. I am unfortunately not a coder, learning yes, but not very good with HTML, CSS and php. Where a plugin will help it is installed and activated. My site has a Woocommerce Shop, Woo Membership, Woo Currency Converter, Forum, Blog, and access to an Exam Portal that is just a link posting to another website. The problem I am having relates to Woocommerce Shop and the Checkout process. As it’s a Membership site, potential customers need to go to the shop, and purchase a Membership that will provide a Username and Password for them to login.
Problem:
When the customer has selected a Membership and gone to checkout, they input their details and click on the PayPal button. Once clicked they get an ‘Internal Server Error’. There is no error number associated to it. FYI: I’m currently using ’PayPal Sandbox Mode’.I originally deactivated all of the Plugins, and only loaded 3 Woocommerce ones. The error continued as I deactivated each of the 3, just leaving Woocommerce itself with the error still showing.
I have put WP_DEBUG in the wp-config.php file. I have then gone through the order process up and including the point where the error occurs, this I have done on a Mac and two Laptops, all in different browsers eg: Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge.
I’ve cleared all Cache in the browsers and WP as well.Server Environment:
I would value any help, bearing in mind that my coding skills and understand is very limited at the moment.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Mark
