internal server error ultimate social media icons plugin

when i try to go to settings, I get an internal server error with the ultimate social media icons plugin. I’ve tried deactivating and then reactivating, using a child theme, and still won’t work. I see others had an issue with the plugin, but I don’t see a satisfactory solution for me.
